Diamond Beach is East Nusa Penida’s crown jewel, featuring a pristine white sand beach surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and iconic rock formations. With a 4.2/5 rating from over 180 Tripadvisor reviews, this relatively new tourist destination (stairs installed in 2018) offers one of Indonesia’s most dramatic coastal landscapes. The beach gets its name from the sparkling white sand that resembles diamonds against the turquoise water.
Access to the beach requires descending approximately 260 steps built along a steep cliff face – a challenging but rewarding adventure that keeps crowds smaller than more accessible beaches.
